GPS TRAINING & RACE - BLOCK 3 WEEK 4

Well everyone, this is it. The last weekend of a great 3 block season. Well done to everyone that's taken part in GPS training since January. Hope you've all enjoyed it.

This weekend there's still good snow for us to run and there's the added bonus of the GPS club race during the day. See the post from earlier in the week (below) for more information on this.

Rookie Instructor Course - Aberdeen Snowsports Centre

Get your wax dusted off as GPS will be holding a Club Race on Sunday 27th March 2011

Open to all current/past GPS trainees and club members the provisional programme is as follows:

9-9.30am registration in the Club Hut (for current GPS groups).

11.30am-12 noon further registration open at Cairnwell Cafe.

1pm- Course inspection.

1.30pm - 1st run followed immediately by second run.

The race is open to skiers and boarders. Categories will be:

Bairns 1 (Yob from 2002)
Bairns 2 (2000-2001)
Children 1 (1998-1999)
Children 2 (1996-1997)
Juniors (1992-1995)
Seniors up to age 44
Masters from age 45

Medals will be awarded for male and female in each category above. There will be small prizes for winners.

After the race we will have a prizegiving/hut party back at the Club Hut to celebrate another great season - and two complete seasons without missing a single Sunday!
