Well the snow's still with us so unless we're stormbound this weekend training for all groups will go ahead as per the previous weeks. Please note that this is the LAST week of Block 1 of GPS training (excluding Masters). So if you are wanting to sign up to Block 2 you must let your club rep know and give them a cheque this Sunday. We need to get coaches booked and groups reallocated so make sure you don't miss out. Remember, please bring your cheque/cash to training this week so that you're guaranteed a space in the next Block.
Klammer & Zurbriggen - IMPORTANT BLOCK 2 INFO
GPS are hoping to offer Klammer/Zurbriggen the opportunity to specialise their training in Block 2, the idea being that you can choose a group for the block which focuses on the topics below. So can all trainees please have a think about whether they would like to focus on one of the following:
1) All mountain skiing (same training format as current Block)
2) More specific race training
3) Freestyle skiing techniques
All Klammer/Zurbriggen trainees are asked to be at the Sport Anyway building for 9am on Sunday morning (15th) to meet with Ben and Ewen to have a chat about the different types of training and gauge interest for the groups. Please make sure you have a think about what you'd like for Block 2 and make sure you're there on time on Sunday to meet Ben and Ewen.
John Clark Race - Sat 28th Feb/Sunday 1st Mar - Glenshee(Children 1 and 2 and Jnr)
Can all trainees who are registered for seed points and are planning on registering for the John Clark race please let Ben and your club rep know this weekend. The plan is that all those taking part will have a coach who will take you through the 2 days but obviously we'll need to know numbers etc.
Bairns Race - Lecht Sat 28th Feb (Bairns)
Again, can all those bairns who are planning on travelling to the Lecht to take part in the Bairns race please let Ben and your club rep know as a GPS coach will hopefully be able to attend for the day if there is interest. Remember bairns don't need to register for Seed points so anyone can have a go!
For more information on the races/registering etc, please see the Britski.org website which has up to date information on all races as well as entry details.
Any questions, please contact your club rep. See you all at the weekend. Don't forget to bring your cheque book!
Cheers
Becs
